Welcome to Tim?s Striper Guide Service, guiding on both Raccoon and Monroe reservoirs for trophy Striped Bass and Hybrid Striped Bass (Wipers). This is the ultimate in freshwater big game fishing! These saltwater transplants will amaze you at their strength and the ferocity of their strikes and drag burning runs. Their hybrid cousins, Wipers, fight just as hard pound for pound, and provide a great experience for younger fishermen that may not be able to handle a 20 lb. + fish. The last few years have been very good on both Raccoon and Monroe reservoirs. Several fish over 25 lbs and many over 20 lbs have been taken on Raccoon the last few years. The largest caught on my boat to date is 27 lbs. but I know there are some 30 lbs + fish swimming around out there. Monroe has been very good for Wipers, especially during the summer months. I have had a lot of doubles and triples fish on, and there have been several instances when every rod in the boat has gone off at once! (I usually run 8-9 rods) Trust me, this is not a pretty sight!
